Driving Force Couriers was established as a sole trader business in June 2005. Our first company vehicle was a Y registration Citroen Relay van adorning a very distinctive yellow ‘go faster’ stripe down the sides! 16 Years later we now operate as a Ltd company and the business continues to go from strength to strength.
We have moved on from the days of our single van and the company now boasts a fleet of 18 tonne lorries with access to a further 2000 subcontractor vehicles from all over the UK.
We have assembled a friendly and professional, hardworking team here at Driving Force and with over 80 years’ experience between us, you can be rest assured that we have both the knowledge and the expertise to be able to deal with all your transport needs.

Steve was just 25 years old when he founded Driving Force back in 2005. He used £5000 left to him from his late Grandma to buy the companies first vehicle.
‘We have had some ups and downs over the last 16 years, including a recession and more recently the corona virus pandemic. But through a mixture of hard work, resilience and a bit of luck, we have made it though unscathed and have come out smiling (just) the other side’
Since a company restructure in late 2021, Steve has taken more of a back seat role and spends most of his time either with his family or out on the open road. When not behind the wheel, Steve still enjoys his weekly football and also likes a round of gold when given the chance!
Dave originally joined the team back in January 2019 as a Class 2 driver, but following a company restructure in 2021 was made director and now oversees the full operation of the company.
With a background in logistics and warehouse management, Dave has overseen the recent company expansion and is now responsible for all the day to day operations of the company.
‘From my first day with Driving Force I knew I was joining a company with a owner that cares for not only his business but also his employee’s.
We have assembled a group of genuine guys that have loyalty and hard work running through their veins and I look forward to our future endeavours together and a long standing working relationship’.
Due to our recent rapid expansion, Debbie has been brought in to help out manage the day to day operations and service all our existing accounts.
Debbie has over 16 years logistics experience and has been key account manager to some of the biggest global companies including Suzuki, Canon and Smith & Nephew.
When not grafting away, Debbie loves socialising with friends and loves travelling up to Scotland to see family whenever she can.
Paul joined us back in January 2020, and with 15 years of experience behind him has already become a highly valuable member of the team. Paul’s attitude can never be faulted and his is commitment to the job is always first class… Paul’s father was a trucker and is proud to be following in his dads footsteps.
‘I have been with Driving Force since January 2020 and they instantly made me feel at home and are already like family. I love being on the road, every day is different and I get to travel all over the UK meeting people from all walks of life.’
‘When I am not at work I enjoy spending a lot of time outside walking my dog. I played rugby for over 20 years and still love my sport as well as going out with friends and having a good laugh’
Paul will always been seen wearing his shorts, be it sun, rain or shine!
Andrew has been with us since mid 2020 and joined us with over 7 years’ at the likes of DHL where he has honed his customer service skills.
Ray is the newest addition to the Driving Force team and came aboard in October 2021.
Having gathered a vast amount of experience at Univar Solutions, Ray decided that he wanted a change, and after speaking to one of other drivers Paul, made the decision to join us, and we are very thankful to have him.
Ray also brings with him an ADR licence which now enables us to carry certain classes of dangerous goods, adding another string to our bow.
